Orbit OS Weekly — Issue 1: Hello from Orbit OS

First issue. This is the weekly product and roadmap log from Orbit OS — the AI-operating system for hospitality. Each Monday we'll publish what shipped, what's coming, and one operator-facing observation. No jargon. No hype. Just what changed and why an operator should care.

Why this newsletter exists

Hotels run on software that records work after the fact. Orbit OS is built to do the work. Twelve native modules — Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Kitchen, Finance, Sales & Revenue, HR, Security, Spa, Concierge, Connect, and Agentic AI — share a single guest profile, ledger, and event stream, with an agent in every module that can read property data, draft actions, and execute inside guardrails.

We publish this newsletter so operators, partners, and prospective customers can see how the platform moves week over week — without scrolling a changelog or reading commits.

What shipped this week

  • New brand identity. The product is now Orbit OS — typography wordmark with a cyan → indigo → purple → pink gradient on the “OS”. Dark and white variants, plus app-icon SVGs and PNGs at every size from 16 to 1024.
  • Tagline locked. “The AI-operating system for Hospitality” now reads everywhere — hero, metadata, social cards, footer.
  • Marketing site live. orbit-os-marketing.vercel.app launched with the twelve-module overview, four real AI examples, and a why-now thesis. Social preview cards and Open Graph metadata wired correctly (no more localhost leaking into production).
  • This newsletter. The page you’re reading. New issues land every Monday, published here and cross-posted to LinkedIn.

What’s next

  • Public live demo. A read-only demo property with realistic data so operators can click through Front Office, Housekeeping, and the AI panel without booking a call.
  • Agent panel deep-dive. A walkthrough of how Orbit’s Copilot reads a property, drafts an action, and waits for one tap to execute — across reservations, housekeeping, and night audit.
  • First customer story. A short case study from the property running an early version of Orbit OS in production.

Operator observation of the week

The single biggest source of friction in a hotel isn’t any one system — it’s the gap between them. Front Office and Housekeeping in separate apps means one team waits while the other types. Orbit OS treats every module as one product so the wait disappears. That’s the bet.
